Claire is my good friend whom I spent many hours riding with when we both boarded our horses at the same farm. I sold my horse first, about six months after my daughter Hannah was born. Life was hectic and expensive, and I couldn’t justify keeping her when I didn’t have the time to ride.
Claire’s daughter Ava is a month younger than Hannah, and she went through the same struggle that I did: there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. She recently decided to sell Boe to a trusted friend so that he could get all of the attention that he deserves. She really wanted to get some images of Ava and Boe together, because they had developed a very sweet bond thanks to Ava’s inquisitive nature and Boe’s gentle disposition.
