I felt like I had known Lida and Chad forever by the time I photographed their newborn baby’s Newborn Portraits. I had first photographed them when Lida was pregnant with Dare for her maternity portraits, and then I photographed Dare’s birth at Newport Hospital, my first c-section birth. Now Dare was ready for her time in the spotlight and she was even cuter than she was at the hospital when she was first born!
Lida and Chad came to my home for the session. I have beautiful natural light both in the front and the back of my house and we took full advantage of it for Dare’s newborn portrait session. I recently made myself a newborn posing pillow and Dare was the first baby to use it. It worked great!
A couple of days after Dare was born, I visited Lida and Chad in the hospital and took a few Fresh 48 portraits of the three of them. Here are some of my favourites:
