It seems like just yesterday that my own little baby was a newborn, but the reality is she is growing fast! At 4 months old, she can babble, laugh, smile, push herself up with her hands while on her belly, and she’s trying really hard to crawl already. So when I visited newborn Baby Luca at his home in Providence this week for his lifestyle newborn session, I was reminded again how tiny and sweet new little babies are. Luca is just two weeks old and his big brother Jaxon is very excited about the new arrival. When I got to their home, Jaxon took my hand and showed me all of his toys and asked me at least 20 questions about my camera equipment. While I chatted with him, I photographed him with his little brother, along with his parents, Colleen and Dan.
The difference between a traditional studio newborn session and a lifestyle newborn session is the types of moments I capture. With this lifestyle newborn session, I barely posed anyone and was more interested in photographing real life interactions and moments.
Sweet Jaxon was so kind and gentle with his baby brother. At first he didn’t really want his picture taken but we bribed him sufficiently so he conceded and posed for a few photos. Then in return, I had to go play with his toys with him. Worth it!
Congratulations to this beautiful family and thank you for the opportunity to photograph Baby Luca!
