I met Allison and her family in Newport at Second Beach for their family portrait session. These kids are so cute and they have big personalities, which I focused on capturing in their portraits.
This family loves to have fun so I told them to play! Run! Jump! Dig in the sand. Climb the rocks. We had a blast running all over the beach and getting nice and sandy. We walked in the waves, searched for sea glass, and played tag. Kids do not want to sit still and pose, and let’s face it: that’s not real life anyway! But I have such a great time out doing sessions with young kids because they are absolutely hilarious and so creative.

Little Jude made me work a bit to get his attention but we were buddies by the end of the afternoon.
