Anthony, Rachel and their two kids were visiting Newport for the weekend and Anthony surprised Rachel with a family portrait session! So get this. As a mom and photographer I think this is the BEST idea ever. Here’s why. You plan a vacation, do all these great things with your kids, but it’ll all be forgotten as time rolls by without images or video to show them how much fun they had. Anthony was totally on board and I am so glad I got to meet this awesome family.
I suggested we start the portrait session in Washington Park in downtown historic Newport, then finish up at Sachuset Beach in Middletown. I love Sachuset Beach because it’s huge, relatively flat, has a good amount of beach even at high tide, and there are rocks and grass. The kids loved exploring all the different areas!
