Melissa and her family hired me to take their family portraits and as we brainstormed about locations, she realised she really wanted to go to the beach. She knew her kids would love it. We met at Narragansett Beach one very sunny afternoon and her two sons were so excited to play on the beach and have fun in the sand. We did some portraits, some posed, some looser, then I asked if they’d like to put their toes in the water. Melissa’s older son was not a fan of the water but with some coaxing (and coming up with a random game I named “Run Away” because I’m sooo creative) got him to give it a shot and soon they were all running and playing in the water. Sometimes my mom skills do actually come in handy when I’m working!!
