I had the honour of photographing this gorgeous legend of a horse, Everest, recently at Heritage Equestrian Center in East Greenwich, RI. He was feeling frisky on the cold March afternoon but it worked for him — he looked regal and ready for action. His human mom, Melanie, is the backbone of their busy farm and though I’ve photographed many horses and riders there, this is the first time she’s been in the portraits. She is so beautiful and I’m very happy she let me take these photos of her with her heart horse.
