Originally I was supposed to photograph Cassie and Hugo’s engagement session a few days before it actually happened, but the weather was so cold and dreary that day that we all mutually agreed it’d be best to reschedule. And I am so glad we did, because the light on the new date was so beautiful, PLUS Cassie would have been frozen solid in her lovely dress on the original date!
In April, Newport has its Daffodil Festival, where thousands (probably an understatement) of daffodils are in bloom all over the city. We started off in a patch of those daffodils and then did the rest of their session on Easton’s Beach. Easton’s Beach is special to them because they had one of their very first dates there. We even used the same driftwood log that they sat on during that first date as a prop in their engagement session! So fun.
